What financing options are available? Motor Range offers:
Hire Purchase (HP): HP is ideal for spreading the cost of a car with an initial deposit followed by monthly payments. Once all payments are completed, the car is yours. It's flexible, allowing you to adjust monthly payments to suit your budget, there are even no deposit options available.
Personal Contract Purchase (PCP): PCP allows for lower monthly payments after an initial deposit, with the choice at the end of the agreement to either buy the car by paying a final residual amount, return it, or upgrade to a new model. This flexibility makes it easy to drive a newer car every few years without a long-term commitment.Once again, if you would rather not pay a deposit, that can be arranged.
Arrange your own finance: This option gives you the flexibility to secure financing for your car independently. You can shop around banks, or online lenders. Just remember this can be time consuming and you will need a good understanding of car finance products.
Cash: Paying for a car in cash is a straightforward and hassle-free option. However, it’s essential to consider a few factors:
Can I get a car with bad or no credit? Yes! We work with lenders who specialise in assisting customers with less-than-perfect or no credit. Our finance team will help tailor a financing plan that suits your budget.
How much do I need for a deposit? That's totally up to you! We offer arrangements that suit you! You can go with a zero depositor; you can choose to put a larger deposit down and enjoy lower monthly payments!
How to Decide Between HP and PCP
After considering your financing options, you might wonder which is better for your family—HP or PCP? Here are some factors to consider:
How long do you plan to keep the car? If you want a vehicle for many years and prefer ownership, HP may be your best option. On the other hand, if you enjoy driving a new car every few years, PCP may be more appealing.
Your Budget: Look at your monthly budget. If lower payments are a priority, you might lean toward PCP. If you want to pay off the car and own it outright, HP may be more suitable.
Mileage: If you drive extensively, be mindful of PCP’s mileage limits, which can incur extra charges if exceeded. If you have a long commute or plan for family road trips, HP could be the better choice.
What documents do I need to bring to buy a car?
If you are financing your purchase, please bring a drivers licence and any other additional proof requested by the finance team. A Team member will advise you if any additional documents are needed before your arrival.
If you are part-exchanging we will need your registration document and MOT Certificate along with any service history and spare keys you have. Transferring a private plate? Ask a member of the team on arrival for details.
You will also need to bring your chosen payment method whether that be cash, debit/credit card
How long does the purchase process take?
Generally, you'll be ready to roll in 1 to 3 hours. This includes time for financing approval, Part-Exchange evaluations, and paperwork. Getting pre-approved for financing and bringing the required documents can turbo-charge the process.
